Mr. SCHUMER. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the
Senate completes its business today, it stand adjourned until 10:30
a.m. on Wednesday, October 18; that following the prayer and pledge,
the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be
deemed expired, the time for the two leaders be reserved for later in
the day, and morning business be closed; that upon the conclusion of
morning business, the Senate proceed to consideration of Calendar No.
228, S.J. Res. 32; and that at 12 noon, the joint resolution be read a
third time and the Senate vote on passage of the joint resolution
without intervening action or debate.
