  SA 1327. Mr. CRUZ (for himself and Ms. Lummis) submitted an amendment 
intended to be proposed to amendment SA 1292 proposed by Mr. Schumer 
(for Mrs. Murray) to the bill H.R. 3935, to amend title 49, United 
States Code, to reauthorize and improve the Federal Aviation 
Administration and other civil aviation programs, and for other 
purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

        At the end of division A, add the following:
       Sec. 146.  None of the funds made available under this Act 
     may be used to pay the salary of an individual carrying out 
     the responsibilities of the position of Administrator of the 
     National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in an acting 
     or temporary capacity who was nominated to that position and 
     whose nomination was subsequently withdrawn.
