  SA 1206. Ms. HIRONO (for herself and Mr. Schatz) submitted an 
amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 1092 proposed by Mrs. 
Murray (for herself and Ms. Collins) to the bill H.R. 4366, making 
appropriations for military construction, the Department of Veterans 
Affairs, and related agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 
2024, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as 
follows:

        In the appropriate place in division B, insert the 
     following:

     SEC. ___. THRIFTY FOOD PLAN COST ADJUSTMENTS FOR HAWAII 
                   DURING DISASTER DECLARATION.

       For the period during which the Presidential declaration of 
     a major disaster for the State of Hawaii is in effect, no 
     cost adjustments shall be made to the thrifty food plan with 
     respect to Hawaii (as defined in section 3(u) of the Food and 
     Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2012(u))) pursuant to 
     paragraph (2) of that section.
