  SA 936. Mr. SCHUMER proposed an amendment to amendment SA 935 
proposed by Mr. Schumer (for Mr. Reed (for himself and Mr. Wicker)) to 
the bill S. 2226, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2024 for 
military activities of the Department of Defense, for military 
construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, 
to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for 
other purposes; as follows:

       At the end add the following:

     SEC. EFFECTIVE DATE.

       This Act shall take effect on the date that is 1 day after 
     the date of enactment of this Act.
