  NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024--MOTION TO 
                                PROCEED

  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. Under the previous order, the 
Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S. 2226, 
which the clerk will report.
  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       Motion to proceed to Calendar No. 119, S. 2226, a bill to 
     authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2024 for military 
     activities of the Department of Defense, for military 
     construction, and for defense activities of the Department of 
     Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such 
     fiscal year, and for other purposes.

  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. The majority leader is recognized.
  Mr. SCHUMER. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that all 
postcloture time on the motion to proceed to Calendar No. 119, S. 2226, 
be considered expired, and the motion to proceed be agreed to.
