                              REESE'S LAW

Mr. WHITEHOUSE. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the
Senate proceed to the immediate consideration of H.R. 5313, which was
received from the House and is at the desk.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title.
The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

A bill (H.R. 5313) to protect children and other consumers
against hazards associated with the accidental ingestion of
button cell or coin batteries by requiring the Consumer
Product Safety Commission to promulgate a consumer product
safety standard to require child-resistant closures on
consumer products that use such batteries, and for other
     purposes.

There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
Mr. WHITEHOUSE. I further ask that the bill be considered read a
third time and passed, and that the motion to reconsider be considered
made and laid upon the table with no intervening action or debate.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
The bill (H.R. 5313) was ordered to a third reading, was read the
third time, and passed.
