Mr. MANCHIN. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent to print the
following letter in the Record.
There being no objection, the material was ordered to be printed in
the Record, as follows:
U.S. Senate, Committee on Energy and Natural Resources,
Washington, DC, July 21, 2022.
To the Secretary of the Senate:
S. 1493, a bill to sustain economic development and
recreational use of National Forest System land in the State
of Montana, to add certain land to the National Wilderness
Preservation System, to designate new areas for recreation,
and for other purposes, having been referred to the Committee
on Energy and Natural Resources, the Committee, with a quorum
present, has voted on the bill as follows--
On the question of reporting the bill favorably with the
recommendation that the bill be passed, 10 ayes to 10 noes.
In accordance with section 3, paragraph (1)(A) of S. Res.
27 of the 117th Congress, I hereby give notice that the
Committee has not reported the bill because of a tie vote and
ask that this notice be printed in the Record pursuant to the
resolution.
