EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE SOVEREIGN DECISION OF FINLAND AND SWEDEN TO
APPLY TO JOIN THE NORTH ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANIZATION (NATO) AS WELL AS
CALLING ON ALL MEMBERS OF NATO TO RATIFY THE PROTOCOLS OF ACCESSION
SWIFTLY
The SPEAKER pro tempore. Pursuant to clause 8 of rule XX, the
unfinished business is the vote on the motion to suspend the rules and
agree to the resolution (H. Res. 1130) expressing support for the
sovereign decision of Finland and Sweden to apply to join the North
Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) as well as calling on all members
of NATO to ratify the protocols of accession swiftly, as amended, on
which the yeas and nays were ordered.
The Clerk read the title of the resolution.
The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on the motion offered by the
gentleman from California (Mr. Costa) that the House suspend the rules
and agree to the resolution, as amended.
