                           EXECUTIVE CALENDAR

  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Under the previous order, the Senate will 
proceed to the consideration of the Powell nomination, which the clerk 
will report.
  The senior assistant legislative clerk read the nomination of Jerome 
H. Powell, of Maryland, to be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the 
Federal Reserve System for a term of four years. (Reappointment)
