  Mr. DURBIN. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate 
proceed to executive session and vote on the confirmation of Executive 
Calendar No. 682, the nomination of Ruth Montenegro, under the previous 
order.

proceed to executive session to resume consideration of the Montenegro 
nomination, which the clerk will report.
  The bill clerk read the nomination of Ruth Bermudez Montenegro, of 
California, to be United States District Judge for the Southern 
District of California.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The question is, Will the Senate advise and 
consent to the Montenegro nomination?
