RECOGNIZING THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ALASKA NATIVE CLAIMS SETTLEMENT
ACT AND THE LASTING IMPACT OF THAT ACT ON THE STATE OF ALASKA AND
ALASKA NATIVE PEOPLE
Mr. MERKLEY. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the
Committee on Indian Affairs be discharged from further consideration
and that the Senate now proceed to S. Res. 482.
The PRESIDING OFFICER (Mr. Warnock). The clerk will read the
resolution by title.
The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A resolution (S. Res. 482) recognizing the 50th anniversary
of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and the lasting
impact of that Act on the State of Alaska and Alaska Native
people.
There being no objection, the committee was discharged, and the
Senate proceeded to consider the resolution.
Mr. MERKLEY. I ask unanimous consent that the resolution be agreed
to, that the preamble be agreed to, and that the motions to reconsider
be considered made and laid upon the table.
