                  ORDERS FOR FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2021

  Mr. SCHUMER. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the 
Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 9:30 a.m., 
Friday, December 17; that following the prayer and pledge, the morning 
hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, 
the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the 
day, and morning business be closed; that upon the conclusion of 
morning business, the Senate proceed to executive session and resume 
consideration of the Gawande nomination; further, that the cloture 
motions filed during yesterday's session of the Senate ripen at 10 
a.m.; and that if any of the nominations are confirmed during Friday's 
session, the motions to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the 
table and the President be immediately notified of the Senate's action.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  Mr. SCHUMER. Mr. President, for the information of Senators, the 
first vote of the day is expected at 10 a.m. We expect additional 
rollcall votes throughout the day.
