Motion to proceed to Calendar No. 143, S. 4, a bill to
amend the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to revise the criteria
for determining which States and political subdivisions are
subject to section 4 of the Act, and for other purposes.

We, the undersigned Senators, in accordance with the
provisions of rule XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate,
do hereby move to bring to a close debate on the motion to
proceed to Calendar No. 143, S. 4, a bill to amend the Voting
Rights Act of 1965 to revise the criteria for determining
which States and political subdivisions are subject to
section 4 of the Act, and for other purposes.
