  The senior assistant legislative clerk read the nomination of Vivek 
Hallegere Murthy, of Florida, to be Medical Director in the Regular 
Corps of the Public Health Service, subject to qualifications therefor 
as provided by law and regulations, and to be Surgeon General of the 
Public Health Service for a term of four years.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator from Oregon.
  Mr. MERKLEY. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that with respect 
to the Young nomination, the motion to reconsider be considered made 
and laid upon the table and the President be immediately notified of 
the Senate's action.
