ELECTING GARY B. MYRICK, OF VIRGINIA, AS SECRETARY FOR THE MAJORITY OF 
                               THE SENATE

  Mr. SCHUMER. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate 
proceed to the consideration of S. Res. 10, submitted earlier today.
  The PRESIDENT pro tempore. The clerk will report the resolution by 
title.

  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       A resolution (S. Res. 10) electing Gary B. Myrick, of 
     Virginia, as Secretary for the Majority of the Senate.

  There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the 
resolution.
  Mr. SCHUMER. I ask unanimous consent that the resolution be agreed to 
and that the motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the 
table with no intervening action or debate.
  The PRESIDENT pro tempore. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  The resolution (S. Res. 10) was agreed to as follows:

                               S. Res. 10

       Resolved, That Gary B. Myrick of Virginia be, and he is 
     hereby, elected Secretary for the Majority of the Senate.
