NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021

proposes an amendment numbered 2080 to amendment No. 2301.

The amendment (No. 2080) is as follows
(Purpose: To require an element in annual reports on cyber science and
technology activities on work with academic consortia on high priority
cybersecurity research activities in Department of Defense
capabilities)
At the end of subtitle C of title II, add the following:
SEC. 240. ELEMENT IN ANNUAL REPORTS ON CYBER SCIENCE AND
TECHNOLOGY ACTIVITIES ON WORK WITH ACADEMIC
CONSORTIA ON HIGH PRIORITY CYBERSECURITY
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IN DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE
CAPABILITIES.
Section 257(b)(2) of the National Defense Authorization Act
for Fiscal Year 2020 (Public Law 116-92; 133 Sta. 1291) is
amended by adding at end the following new subparagraph:
``(J) Efforts to work with academic consortia on high
priority cybersecurity research activities.''.
Mr. INHOFE. Mr. President, for the information of all Senators,
Senator Reed and I have reached an agreement on the first managers'
package, and we will be hotlining that list on both sides this evening
with the hopes of clearing it and adopting those amendments tomorrow.
