EXECUTIVE CALENDAR
The VICE PRESIDENT. Under the previous order, the Senate will proceed
to executive session to consider the following nomination, which the
clerk will report.
The senior assistant legislative clerk read the nomination of General
Charles Q. Brown, Jr., for appointment as Chief

of Staff, United States Air Force, and appointment in the United States
Air Force to the grade indicated while assigned to a position of
importance and responsibility under title 10, U.S.C., sections 601 and
9033: to be General.
Thereupon, the Senate proceeded to consider the nomination.

the Senate advise and consent to the nomination of General Charles Q.
