  SA 1304. Mr. PERDUE submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by 
him to the joint resolution S.J. Res. 68, to direct the removal of 
United States Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic 
Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress; which was 
referred to the Committee on Foreign Relations; as follows:

       On page 4, line 19, insert ``or, consistent with section 
     8(d) of the War Powers Resolution (50 U.S.C. 1547(d)), to 
     alter the constitutional authority of Congress or the 
     President or the provisions of existing treaties'' after 
     ``attack''.
