                                 RECESS

  Mrs. FISCHER. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate 
stand in recess until 3:45 p.m. for a briefing and that when the Senate 
reconvenes at 3:45 p.m., it resume executive session and consideration 
of the Solomson nomination.
  There being no objection, the Senate, at 2:32 p.m., recessed until 
3:45 p.m. and reassembled when called to order by the Presiding Officer
