CONGRATULATING THE PEOPLE OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND THE PEOPLE OF THE
SLOVAK REPUBLIC ON THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VELVET REVOLUTION, THE
26TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FORMATION OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND THE SLOVAK
REPUBLIC, AND THE 101ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA
Mrs. FISCHER. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate
proceed to the immediate consideration of Calendar No. 337, S. Res.
343.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the resolution by title.
The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A resolution (S. Res. 343) congratulating the people of the
Czech Republic and the people of the Slovak Republic on the
30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, the 26th
anniversary of the formation of the Czech Republic and the
Slovak Republic, and the 101st anniversary of the declaration
of independence of Czechoslovakia.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the
resolution.
Mrs. FISCHER. I further ask that the resolution be agreed to, the
preamble be agreed to, and the motions to reconsider be considered made
and laid upon the table with no intervening action or debate.
