military activities of the Department of Defense, for military 
construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, 
to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for 
other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

       At the end of title XV, add the following:

                       Subtitle C--Other Matters

     SEC. 1531. REVIEW OF JOINT IMPROVISED-THREAT DEFEAT 
                   ORGANIZATION RESEARCH RELATING TO HUMANITARIAN 
                   DEMINING EFFORTS.

       (a) In General.--Not later than 180 days after the date of 
     the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall 
     conduct a review of the research of the Joint Improvised-
     Threat Defeat Organization to identify information that may 
     be released to United States humanitarian demining 
     organizations for the purpose of improving the efficiency and 
     effectiveness of humanitarian demining efforts.
       (b) Report to Congress.--The Secretary shall submit a 
     report to the congressional defense committees detailing the 
     research identified under subsection (a).
