SA 38. Mr. SHELBY submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by
him to the bill H.R. 268, making supplemental appropriations for the
fiscal year ending September 30, 2019, and for other purposes; which
was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
Strike all after section 1101 and insert the following:
TITLE XII--FURTHER CONTINUING APPROPRIATIONS
Sec. 1201. The Continuing Appropriations Act, 2019
(division C of Public Law 115-245) is further amended--
(1) by striking the date specified in section 105(3) and
inserting ``February 8, 2019''; and
(2) by adding after section 136 the following:
``Sec. 137. Notwithstanding any other provision of this
Act, and in addition to amounts otherwise made available by
this Act for `U.S. Custom and Border Protection--Procurement,
Construction, and Improvements', there is appropriated
$765,205,479 for an additional amount for fiscal year 2019,
to remain available until September 30, 2023, for purposes
authorized by section 102 of the Illegal Immigration Reform
and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (Public Law 104-208)
as amended by section 564 of the Consolidated Appropriations
Act, 2008 (Public Law 110-161), to include activities
authorized under section 1103(b) of title 8, United States
Code: Provided, That the conditions set forth in subsections
(b) and (c) of section 230 of division F of the Consolidated
Appropriations Act, 2018 (Public Law 115-141) shall apply
during fiscal year 2019 to the amounts made available in the
clause preceding this proviso.''.
