  SA 3723. Ms. HIRONO (for herself and Mr. Cotton) submitted an 
amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill H.R. 6157, making 
appropriations for the Department of Defense for the fiscal year ending 
September 30, 2019, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on 
the table; as follows:

       At the appropriate place in division A, insert the 
     following:
       Sec. __.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, from 
     amounts appropriated or otherwise made available by this 
     division under the heading ``Operation and Maintenance, Air 
     Force'', the Secretary of Defense may reimburse the 
     Government of the Republic of Palau an amount not to exceed 
     $9,700,000 for land acquisition costs for defense sites.
