  SA 2937. Mr. HOEVEN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to 
amendment SA 2910 proposed by Mr. Shelby to the bill H.R. 5895, making 
appropriations for energy and water development and related agencies 
for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2019, and for other purposes; 
which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

       At the end of title II of division C, add the following:

     SEC. 1__. REQUIREMENT FOR PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS OF MEMBERS OF 
                   THE SELECTED RESERVE OF THE READY RESERVE OF 
                   THE RESERVE COMPONENTS OF THE ARMED FORCES WHO 
                   ARE SEPARATING FROM THE SELECTED RESERVE.

       Section 1145(d) of title 10, United States Code, is 
     amended--
       (1) in paragraph (1)--
       (A) in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking 
     ``pursuant to'' and inserting ``described in''; and
       (B) in subparagraph (A)--
       (i) by striking ``(A)'' and inserting ``(A)(i)'';
       (ii) by striking the semicolon at the end and inserting ``; 
     or''; and
       (iii) by adding at the end the following new clause:
       ``(ii) is a member of the Selected Reserve of the Ready 
     Reserve of a reserve component who is scheduled to separate 
     from the Selected Reserve within 90 days;''; and
       (2) in paragraph (2)(A)--
       (A) by striking ``examination under paragraph (1) to a'' 
     and inserting ``examination--
       ``(i) under paragraph (1)(A)(i) to a'';
       (B) in clause (i), as designated by subparagraph (A), by 
     striking ``; and'' and inserting ``; or''; and
       (C) by adding at the end the following new clause:
       ``(ii) under paragraph (1)(A)(ii) to a member of the 
     Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve of a reserve component 
     during the 90-day period before the date on which the member 
     is scheduled to be separated from the Selected Reserve; 
     and''.
