JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS OF IRS SCAMS AND IDENTITY THEFT ACT OF 2018
The SPEAKER pro tempore. The unfinished business is the vote on the
motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill (H.R. 2905) to require
the Attorney General to establish procedures for expedited review of
the case of any person who unlawfully solicits personal information for
purposes of committing identity theft, while purporting to be acting on
behalf of the IRS, and for other purposes, as amended, on which the
yeas and nays were ordered.
The Clerk read the title of the bill.
The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on the motion offered by the
gentleman from Texas (Mr. Poe) that the House suspend the rules and
pass the bill, as amended.
This will be a 5-minute vote.

the bill, as amended, was passed.
The result of the vote was announced as above recorded.
The title of the bill was amended so as to read: ``A bill to require
the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Treasury to report to
Congress on efforts to combat identity theft, including by persons
purporting to be acting on behalf of the Internal Revenue Service, and
for other purposes.''.
A motion to reconsider was laid on the table.
PERSONAL EXPLANATION
Mr. SCALISE. Mr. Speaker, I was unavoidably detained. Had I been
present, I would have voted ``yea'' on rollcall No. 145, ``yea'' on
rollcall No. 146 and ``yea'' on rollcall No. 147.
