AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT TO AWARD THE MEDAL OF HONOR TO JOHN L. CANLEY
FOR ACTS OF VALOR DURING THE VIETNAM WAR
Ms. MURKOWSKI. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate
proceed to the immediate consideration of H.R. 4641, which was received
from the House and is at the desk.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title.
The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A bill (H.R. 4641) to authorize the President to award the
Medal of Honor to John L. Canley for acts of valor during the
Vietnam War while a member of the Marine Corps.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
Ms. MURKOWSKI. Mr. President, I further ask unanimous consent that
the bill be considered read three times and passed and the motion to
reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table with no
intervening action or debate.
