NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018
The SPEAKER pro tempore. Pursuant to House Resolution 431 and rule
XVIII, the Chair declares the House in the Committee of the Whole House
on the state of the Union for the further consideration of the bill,
H.R. 2810.

Accordingly, the House resolved itself into the Committee of the
Whole House on the state of the Union for the further consideration of
the bill (H.R. 2810) to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2018
for military activities of the Department of Defense and for military
construction, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal
year, and for other purposes, with Mr. Thompson of Pennsylvania (Acting
Chair) in the chair.

July 12, 2017, the fourth set of amendments en bloc, as modified,
offered by the gentleman from Texas (Mr. Thornberry) had been disposed

pursuant to House Resolution 431, the Committee rises.
Accordingly, the Committee rose; and the Speaker pro tempore (Mr.
Thompson of Pennsylvania) having assumed the chair, Mr. Katko, Acting
Chair of the Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union,
reported that that Committee, having had under consideration the bill
(H.R. 2810) to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2018 for
military activities of the Department of Defense and for military
construction, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal
year, and for other purposes, had come to no resolution thereon.
