       We, the undersigned Senators, in accordance with the 
     provisions of rule XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate, 
     do hereby move to bring to a close debate on the motion to 
     proceed to Calendar No. 531, S. 3100, a bill to ensure that 
     State and local law enforcement may cooperate with Federal 
     officials to protect our communities from violent criminals 
     and suspected terrorists who are illegally present in the 
     United States.

  The question is, Is it the sense of the Senate that debate on the 
motion to proceed to S. 3100, a bill to ensure that State and local law 
enforcement may cooperate with Federal officials to protect our 
communities from violent criminals and suspected terrorists who are 
illegally present in the United States, shall be brought to a close?
