                       THE CHILDREN ARE LISTENING

  (Mr. GARAMENDI asked and was given permission to address the House 
for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.)
  Mr. GARAMENDI. Mr. Speaker, my daughter is a kindergarten teacher, 
and the children are listening.
  They are listening to our national debate. They are listening to the 
television. They are coming to class, and they are repeating. They are 
repeating the bullying that they hear on television, and they take it 
to the classroom.
  The children are listening. It is time for civility in our 
Presidential discourse.
