  SA 2840. Mr. LEE (for himself and Mr. Cotton) submitted an amendment 
intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 2577, making 
appropriations for the Departments of Transportation, and Housing and 
Urban Development, and related agencies for the fiscal year ending 
September 30, 2016, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on 
the table; as follows:

       At the appropriate place, insert the following:
       Sec. __. (a) Prohibition on Use of Federal Funds for HUD 
     Rule.--Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no Federal 
     funds may be used to implement, administer, or enforce the 
     final rule of the Department of Housing and Urban Development 
     entitled ``Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing'' (80 Fed. 
     Reg. 42272 (July 16, 2015)).
       (b) Prohibition on Use of Federal Funds for Federal 
     Database.--Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no 
     Federal funds may be used to design, build, maintain, 
     utilize, or provide access to a Federal database of 
     geospatial information on community racial disparities or 
     disparities in access to affordable housing.
