 NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016--VETO MESSAGE 
                FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

  Mr. THORNBERRY. Mr. Speaker, notwithstanding the order of the House 
of October 21, 2015, I ask unanimous consent that the veto message of 
the President on the bill (H.R. 1735) to authorize appropriations for 
fiscal year 2016 for military activities of the Department of Defense, 
for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department 
of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal 
year, and for other purposes, together with the accompanying bill, be 
referred to the Committee on Armed Services.
  The SPEAKER pro tempore. Is there objection to the request of the 
gentleman from Texas?
  There was no objection.
