RECOGNIZING CAROLINE ROBERTSON
(Mr. ROUZER asked and was given permission to address the House for 1
minute.)
Mr. ROUZER. Mr. Speaker, I would like to take a moment to recognize a
truly inspirational individual from my district. Caroline Robertson is
a 12-year-old girl from Potters Hill, North Carolina. We met last
October at an event in Beulaville. She was born with Trisomy 18, a rare
chromosomal disorder.
Despite her diagnosis, Caroline has maintained a positive outlook on
life, choosing to live every minute of every day. Last year, Caroline
was crowned a ``Dream Angel'' by the North Carolina Outstanding Little
Miss Pageant. She is using her crown to help raise awareness for
handicapped children throughout North Carolina.
Earlier this year, Caroline hosted a fundraiser called Bikers, Tea,
and Tiaras to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
There were over 35 crown titles in attendance, including Miss North
Carolina 2014, Beth Stovall.
Caroline has had to overcome more adversity in 12 years than most of
us will in a lifetime. She is a true inspiration to all around her, and
I am honored to know her.
I would like to thank her for her work as a Dream Angel, and I know
she will continue to accomplish great things in the years to come.
