TRAGEDY IN SOUTH CAROLINA
Mr. KING. Mr. President, before beginning my remarks, I want to
express my profound sorrow, sympathy, and condolences to the people of
South Carolina and the people of Charleston for the tragedy that
occurred last night. To my colleagues, Senators Scott and Graham, and
to all the people of South Carolina, these things are very hard to
understand, very hard to fathom, and I think I speak for all of our
colleagues when I say our hearts go out to the people of South Carolina
this morning concerning this unspeakable tragedy.
