  Mr. REID. Following my remarks and those of the Republican leader, 
the Senate will be in a period of morning business until 5:30 this 
afternoon.
  At 5:30 p.m., the Senate will proceed to three rollcall votes on the 
confirmation of Jeffery Baran to be a member of the Nuclear Regulatory 
Commission; Lauren McFerran to be a member of the National Labor 
Relations Board; and Ellen Williams to be Director of

the Advanced Research Projects Agency at the Department of Energy.
