AMENDING THE FEDERAL CHARTER OF THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS OF THE
UNITED STATES
Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate
proceed to the consideration of H.R. 5441.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title.
The legislative clerk read as follows:
A bill (H.R. 5441) to amend the Federal charter of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States to reflect the
service of women in the Armed Forces of the United States.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the bill be
read a third time, passed, and the motion to reconsider be considered
made and laid upon the table.
