PERMITTING THE COLLECTION OF CLOTHING, TOYS, FOOD, AND HOUSEWARES
DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES
Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Rules
Committee be discharged from further consideration of S. Res. 577 and
the Senate proceed to its immediate consideration.

The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A resolution (S. Res. 577) permitting the collection of
clothing, toys, food, and housewares during the holiday
season for charitable purposes in Senate buildings.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the
resolution.
Mr. REID. I ask unanimous consent that the resolution be agreed to
and the motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table
with no intervening action or debate.
