                        Vote On Bass Nomination

  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The question is, Will the Senate advise and 
consent to the nomination of John R. Bass, of New York, a Career Member 
of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be 
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of 
America to the Republic of Turkey?
  There will be 2 minutes of debate equally divided prior to a vote on 
the nomination.
