ORDERS FOR TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2014
Mr. REID. I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its
business today, it adjourn until tomorrow morning, September 9, at 10
a.m.; that following the prayer and the pledge, the morning hour be
deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, and the
time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day;
that following any leader remarks, there be a period of morning
business for 1 hour with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10
minutes each, with the Republicans controlling the first 30 minutes and
the majority controlling the next 30 minutes; that following morning
business, the Senate resume consideration of the motion to proceed to
S.J. Res. 19 postcloture; further, that the Senate recess from 12:30
p.m. to 2:15 p.m.; finally, that the time during any period of morning
business, adjournment or recess count postcloture.
