         MEASURES READ THE FIRST TIME--H.R. 5230 AND H.R. 5272

  Mr. COONS. Mr. President, I understand there are two bills at the 
desk, and I ask for their first reading en bloc.
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. The clerk will read the bills by 
title for the first time en bloc.
  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (H.R. 5230) making supplemental appropriations for 
     the fiscal year ending September 30, 2014, and for other 
     purposes.
       A bill (H.R. 5272) to prohibit certain actions with respect 
     to deferred action for aliens not lawfully present in the 
     United States, and for other purposes.

  Mr. COONS. I now ask for a second reading en bloc, and I object to my 
own request en bloc.
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. Objection having been heard, the 
bills will be read the second time on the next legislative day.
