                TREASURY RELIANCE ON STATE EXAMINATIONS

  Mr. REID. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the Banking 
Committee be discharged from further action on H.R. 4386 and the Senate 
proceed to its consideration.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  The clerk will report the bill by title.
  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (H.R. 4386) to allow the Secretary of the Treasury 
     to rely on State examinations for certain financial 
     institutions, and for other purposes.

  There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.

passed, and the motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon 
the table, and there be no intervening action or debate.
