   ELECTING A MEMBER TO CERTAIN STANDING COMMITTEES OF THE HOUSE OF 
                            REPRESENTATIVES

  Ms. FOXX. Madam Speaker, by direction of the House Republican 
Conference, I send to the desk a privileged resolution and ask for its 
immediate consideration in the House.
  The Clerk read the resolution, as follows:

                              H. Res. 660

       Resolved, That the following named Member be, and is 
     hereby, elected to the following standing committees of the 
     House of Representatives:
        Committee on Foreign Affairs: Mr. Clawson.
        Committee on Homeland Security: Mr. Clawson.

  Ms. FOXX (during the reading). Madam Speaker, I ask unanimous consent 
to dispense with the reading.
  The SPEAKER pro tempore (Mrs. Wagner). Is there objection to the 
request of the gentlewoman from North Carolina?
  There was no objection.
  The resolution was agreed to.
  A motion to reconsider was laid on the table.
