MEASURES READ THE FIRST TIME--H.R. 4453, H.R. 4457
Mr. REID. Mr. President, there are two bills at the desk due for a
first reading.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the bills by title for the
first time.
The legislative clerk read as follows:
A bill (H.R. 4453) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of
1986 to make permanent the reduced recognition period for
built-in gains of S corporations.
A bill (H.R. 4457) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of
1986 to permanently extend increased expensing limitations,
and for other purposes.
Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask for a second reading on both of these
measures but would object to both requests.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection having been heard, the bills will
receive their second reading on the next legislative day.
