HONORING FORMER SENATOR HARLAN MATHEWS
Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate
proceed to the consideration of S. Res. 444 submitted earlier today.

A resolution (S. Res. 444) relative to the death of Harlan
Mathews, former United States Senator for the State of
Tennessee.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the
resolution.

the preamble be agreed to, and that the motions to reconsider be
considered made and laid on the table, with no intervening action or
debate.
