                     NATIONAL CHARTER SCHOOLS WEEK

  Mr. DURBIN. I ask unanimous consent the Senate proceed to the 
immediate consideration of S. Res. 438 submitted earlier today by 
Senators Landrieu and Alexander.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the resolution by title.
  The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       A resolution (S. Res. 438) congratulating the students, 
     parents, teachers, and administrators of charter schools 
     across the United States for their ongoing contributions to 
     education, and supporting the ideals and goals of the 15th 
     annual National Charter Schools Week, to be held May 4 
     through May 10, 2014.

  There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the 
resolution.
  Mr. DURBIN. I further ask that the resolution be agreed to, the 
preamble be agreed to, and the motions to reconsider be considered made 
and laid upon the table, with no intervening action or debate.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  The resolution (S. Res. 438) was agreed to.
  The preamble was agreed to.
