  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I am told S. 2223 is due for a second 
reading; is that right?
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. The clerk will read the title of 
the bill for a second time.
  The legislative clerk read the bill by title as follows:

       A bill, S. 2223, to provide for an increase in the Federal 
     minimum wage and to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 
     to extend increased expensing limitations and the treatment 
     of certain real property as section 179 property.

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I would object to any further proceedings 
with respect to this legislation at this time.
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. Objection is heard. The bill will 
be placed on the calendar.
