                  MEASURE READ THE FIRST TIME--S. 2149

  Mr. REID. I understand S. 2149 is due for its first reading.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the bill by title for the 
first time.
  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (S. 2149) to provide for the extension of certain 
     unemployment benefits, and for other purposes.

  Mr. REID. I object to my own request to have a second reading.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection having been heard, the bill will be 
read for a second time on the next legislative day.
