  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I move to proceed to Calendar No. 309, S. 
1086.
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. The clerk will report the motion.
  The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       Motion to proceed to Calendar No. 309, S. 1086, a bill to 
     reauthorize and improve the Child Care and Development Block 
     Grant Act of 1990, and for other purposes.


                                Schedule

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, following my remarks, the Senate will be in 
a period of morning business until 11:30 a.m., with the majority 
controlling the first hour and the Republicans controlling the next 
hour.


                           Order Of Procedure

  I ask unanimous consent that Senator Feinstein be allotted a full 
hour. I have taken some of her time.
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. Without objection, it is so 
ordered.
  Mr. REID. At 11:30 this morning, the Senate will proceed to executive 
session and there will be four rollcall votes on the motions to invoke 
cloture on four nominees to be United States district judges.
  Following the votes, the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow 
for our weekly caucus meetings.
