ORDERS FOR TUESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2014
Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate
completes its business today, it adjourn until 10 a.m. on Tuesday,
January 14, 2014; that following the prayer and pledge, the morning
hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date,
and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the
day; that following any leader remarks, the Senate resume consideration
of S. 1845, the unemployment insurance extension legislation, with the
time until 12:30 p.m. equally divided between the two leaders or their
designees--and that would be controlled time--with the majority
controlling the first 30 minutes and the Republicans controlling the
second 30 minutes; further, that the filing deadline for second-degree
amendments to S. 1845 be 11 a.m., Tuesday; that the Senate recess from
12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings; and
finally, that the time from 2:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. be equally divided
and controlled between the two leaders.
