          MEASURES PLACED ON THE CALENDAR--S. 1859 and S. 1881

  Mr. DURBIN. I understand there are two bills at the desk due for a 
second reading.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the bills by title for the 
first time.
  The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (S. 1859) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 
     to extend certain expiring provisions, and for other 
     purposes.
       A bill (S. 1881) to expand sanctions imposed with respect 
     to Iran and to impose additional sanctions with respect to 
     Iran, and for other purposes.

  Mr. DURBIN. I object to any further proceedings with respect to these 
bills en bloc.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection is heard. The bills will be placed 
on the calendar.
