STOPPING OBAMACARE AND PREVENTING SHUTDOWN II

(Ms. FOXX asked and was given permission to address the House for 1
minute.)
Ms. FOXX. Mr. Speaker, if there's one thing I know that hardworking
taxpayers back home in my district need in these tough economic times,
it's certainty. It's tough enough putting food on the table and putting
gas in the car without worrying that an out-of-control Federal
Government is going to make life harder for you and your family.
That's why last week my colleagues and I in the House passed
legislation that provides some of that certainty. We don't want our
fellow Americans to see their insurance premiums shoot up or lose their
insurance altogether because of the President's unworkable health care
law. And we want our government to stay open.
That's what the American people need, and that's what the House has
acted to do. Now it's time for the Senate to act as well.
